We are often made to feel as though we must have the answers for everything and that if we fail to excel in certain aspects of our life, that we are in fact failures. However, the truth is we all have different strengths and weaknesses. More importantly, if we truly wish to thrive, we need to learn how to rely on each others' strengths in order to compensate for our weaknesses. This is a lesson I didn't learn until I had dug myself so deeply into debt that I thought I would never be able to crawl out of the hole. With the help of a financial consultant, I was able to crawl out from under my debt and learn many valuable lessons in the process. It is my hope that this blog will allow me to share those lessons with you.
When it comes to network marketing, there are many different strategies you will use. One of them is adding helpful and unique website content to generate relevant leads. Website content allows you to rank your site with the top search engines, but not just any content will be helpful. Many people find content through what is called organic search, where they use search terms in a search engine and choose from a list of results. Most internet users won't go past the first page or so, so your goal as a site owner should be appearing on the first page of results.
Keyword research is going to help you do this by choosing keywords others would be searching for in your niche. Consider the type of content and your target market when you choose the right keywords for your content. While a lot of your marketing techniques will involve you searching for your target market, there is nothing wrong with helping them come to you.
Search Engine Optimization
The reason keyword research is so important is because of search engine optimization (SEO). SEO relies on the use of keywords that help others find your content through search engine results. The better the SEO is on your site, the higher up your page rank, and the higher up in the search engine results your content will appear. This means do research to find relevant keywords that are searched for, but don't have a lot of competition from similar sites.
Something to remember is that you aren't just choosing keywords at random because they follow suit with your type of content or niche market. Yes, a lot of people are going to be searching for "makeup," but this is much too broad of a category. If you are trying to sell makeup, you need to be a little more creative with your keywords. Combine "makeup" with other relevant keywords, such as words or phrases that define your target market or what their needs are. If you are marketing makeup that is catered to a younger audience, choose a style of makeup they wear. You will get a better page rank with "makeup for a smokey eye" than just using "makeup" on its own.
Think of How You Search
Consider how you typically search for things. You probably don't often use only one or two-word phrases, but are more descriptive with your searches. Many people will enter longer phrases, complete sentences or questions, so you can cater to this audience. If when performing keyword research for your website, you have found a series of questions often asked, feel free to incorporate them in your content keyword phrases.
Include Behavior Terms
Another thing to look for in your keyword search and usage is the use of behavior terms. Someone might not simply look up a term, but use descriptive and behavior terms like "easy" and "best." This can be included in your titles and headlines, as well as the body of your content. If you find that many of your target audience is looking for easy ways to make wall art, use the word easy in the keywords you choose.
